UK businesses regularly voice their concern about the work-readiness of young people coming out of education at all levels. In order to address this concern, we work with local businesses to facilitate the delivery of work-related learning activities in organisations with access to young people. These activities can help schools meet Ofsted requirements for careers guidance.
Each year we organise a huge skills and careers event for young people aged 14-24. The 2016 event took place on Friday 15th July. The 2017 event will take place on Friday 23rd June at the East of England Showground.
We organise over 1000 placement opportunities each year for young people in Peterborough. This provides young people with invaluable experience of the world of work.
We send out half-termly newsletters to all of the schools in our area providing up-to-date skills news, details of forthcoming events, case studies and other useful information.
