To drive economic growth by facilitating effective partnership working between schools, training providers and businesses in order to develop the knowledge, aspirations and employability skills of young people.
Our core values define what we stand for at The Skills Service and how we work. They underpin everything we do.
Both Opportunity Peterborough and the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority understand the importance of an appropriately skilled workforce to support local economic development. The Skills Service, now funded by the Combined Authority, was created to drive forward the area's skills agenda by listening to business needs and collaborating with local education providers to upskill the future workforce.
We work with businesses, education and training providers in Peterborough, Rutland, Fenland, King's Lynn & West Norfolk, East Cambs, Huntingdonshire, South Kesteven and South Holland.
Find out more about the impact our work has had over the last academic year, both in terms of numbers and testimonials from both the businesses and schools we have worked with.
The Skills Service team is part of the economic development organisation, Opportunity Peterborough, and funded by the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority.
