Apprenticeships

About Apprenticeships

An Apprenticeship is an achievement to be proud of; it is a work-based learning programme for an employee with a nationally recognised qualification attached to it. There are over 250 different types of Apprenticeship frameworks covering 1500 job roles, ranging from accountancy to textiles, engineering to animal care, business administration to construction.

An Apprenticeship is ‘employment’ with training which allows you to earn while you learn. Apprentices are paid a minimum of £3.50 per hour, however, rates of pay can vary depending on the employer. [Find out more]
