.) Do your research – Spend some time on the company’s website finding out about their history and what they do.
.) Practise your answers – Think about what you might say to standard interview questions, such as What are your strengths and weaknesses? Why do you think you are suitable for this role? Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? This will prevent you having to think off the top of your head.
.) Ask your interviewer questions – The interviewer will often close the interview by asking if you’ve got any questions. Try to ask something to show that you’re interested and focus on questions about the job itself rather than the rewards it will bring.
.) Look smart – First impressions do count so make sure you look smart.
.) Be punctual – While you don’t want to be too early for your interview, being late is a huge no-no. Aim to arrive around 10 minutes before your interview slot.
