LMI Fact of the Month – Top Occupations in 2016

One of the objectives of The Skills Service is to improve the economic awareness of young people and increase their knowledge of the local labour market. We have access to a data tool which searches advertised job vacancies in real-time, providing crucial insights into the jobs and skills that are most in demand.

This month, we’re reviewing 2016 and looking at the Top Occupations over the course of the year. These are the top 3 occupations in terms of recruitment over the last 12 months for each of our geographical areas:

Peterborough:

1 – Sales Representative (1,497)
2 – Customer Service Representative (1,019)
3 – Software Developer/Engineer (949)

Fenland:
