The Skills Service has launched a brand new project for Primary and Secondary schools which focuses on the ‘Future Workforce’ and which aims to empower young people at a time when they are facing some tough challenges.
There are 5 key strands to the project – Inspire Technology; Inspire Creativity; Inspire Sustainability; Inspire Careers and Inspire Your City.
Each strand involves key partners from business and the community, and will contain challenges, project ideas, activities and resources. This is a fun way to engage your students with the ‘real world of work’ and can be delivered as part of the curriculum either at school or virtually.
Our first Challenge has already launched – get involved in a national challenge sponsored by CityFibre with ‘Inspire Your City’. There are some great prizes to be won!
Coming soon – an exciting opportunity in partnership with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and a Business Challenge with Peterborough Environment City Trust. Bookmark this page to get up to date information and links….
We would like to deliver this project to as many schools as possible over the next academic year so please get in touch if you would like further information. Likewise, if you are a business based in the UK and would like to sponsor a challenge or get involved in the project let us know by emailing
Take up the challenge to come up with new ways the city, its residents and businesses could make the most of its new gigabit connectivity with the Inspire Your City programme launched by CityFibre and The Skills Service.
