British Sugar is the leading supplier to the British and Irish food and beverage markets. 


Located in the East of England and East Midlands, their 4 state-of-the-art processing plants can match anything in the oil, chemical and power industries for complexity. These sites produce over 2.3 million tonnes of sustainable products every year, from sugar to animal feed and electricity to tomatoes. 


Around 3,600 growers supply their factories with 7.5 million tonnes of sugar beet each year, which is processed into over 1 million tonnes of sugar. 


Sugar production is at the heart of their operations but using their highly integrated approach to manufacturing, they aim to transform all of their raw materials into sustainable products. 


British Sugar employ technicians, apprentices, graduates and experienced professionals for roles across the business and throughout the supply chain including engineers, accountants and project managers.

TOTAL CLOTHING

Total Clothing (Total Promotions Ltd) has been supplying printed and embroidered uniforms to schools, businesses and organisations for 25 years. 


We print and embroider in house ensuring fast turnaround. We also create bespoke merchandise webshops for customers allowing schools, associations and corporate customers to supply their members with branded clothing. 


In addition we have a large showroom and no 9, Botolph Bridge, Oundle Rd, Woodston, Peterborough. 


We employ 18 people over 2 sites, manufacturing and sales. We regularly recruit for the local area and have at least one apprentice per year undergoing level 2 or 3 qualifications.

The News Academy is an initiative of News UK, built on our commitment to securing a sustainable future of high quality, professional journalism. 

We believe that a vibrant news industry is vital for a mature democracy. 


Our mission at the News Academy is to invest in the future of journalism, to help and inspire the next generation of those who might one day work in our industry. 


We are looking for aspiring journalists aged between 16-18. National conferences are held throughout the country, so that young people can hear from the experts, debate the future of professional journalism, and make vital contacts. 


We also send out our world-class journalists to schools and colleges across the UK and Ireland to share their own stories and top tips for our school visit programme.
