Peele Community College held its annual ‘Super Learning Day’ for all year groups on 22nd March, with a variety of fun activities that aimed to help students find out about future careers.
The day was supported by local and national employers, plus universities and training providers. Activities included a series of workshops run by British Sugar, The Army, Boston College, The National Centre for Food Manufacturing Holbeach, Anglian Water, Lincs Higher, The National Citizens Service, Job Centre Plus, Apprenticeships Norfolk and local Spalding artist Dina Perejogina.
There was also a large careers and jobs fair taking place in the gym with ‘Have a Go’ activities such as a pit stop challenge, vehicle simulator, nail painting and engineering.
Jane Moody from the school said afterwards: “We have had so many students and staff tell us what a fabulous time they had and all of the visitors complimented our students on their positive attitude, good behaviour and respectful manner towards the workshops.”
