All students in Year 11 at Arthur Mellows Village College in Peterborough were given a valuable taster of the skills needed to be successful in interviews for either employment or further education. In a series of sessions over a two week period, a wide range of local employers carried out mock interviews with the students, giving constructive feedback to each of the students.
Several representatives from Perkins helped out with the event and their feedback about the process was positive. Dawn Mitchell commented: “It is a great initiative – they never did anything like this when I was at school! You get a real mixture of kids, some who know exactly what they want to do and some who don’t really know right now but hopefully it was a useful experience for all of them.”
Representatives from a number of businesses in and around Peterborough supported the event and we would like to thank them for their contribution.
