Year 13 students at Thomas Clarkson Academy were given the experience of a simulated work / university admissions interview in preparation for future opportunities. They were asked a range of questions that are typical to what a employer or university would ask in a real interview and then provided with feedback on how they performed.
To make the session even more realistic and a valuable experience, the students were interviewed by professionals from Anglia Water and NEACO (Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach) who volunteered there time.
Andrew a Higher Education Champion for NEACO found the sessions as rewarding as much as the students did.
I think the mock interviews with year 13 at Thomas Clarkson Academy were very well organised and I really enjoyed being part of the event. I was pleased to be able to help students to develop their interview technique and to hone their responses to questions they might potentially face in a real university admissions interview.
