All students from Year 11 at Arthur Mellows Village College in Peterborough were given the experience of attending an interview with professionals from different sectors and businesses. Prior to the sessions students had been given a set of questions to help them prepare for what would be asked on the day. They were also asked to bring along a CV and personal statement.
Each interview was around 10 minutes in length, which also included the chance for the interviewers to offer feedback and scoring on areas such as communication, body language and overall performance. For many of the students, this was their first experience of an interview and many were nervous, however they all performed brilliantly and took the chance to get the most out of the opportunity.
The volunteer professionals that conducted the interviews really enjoyed it and found the experience positive and beneficial for the students.
