A group of Year 10 and Year 12 students from Hampton College took part in mock interview sessions with a range of local employers. The day started with a presentation and discussion about interview techniques before students were invited to one-to-one interviews. Each interview was followed by an evaluation session with the employer, who then gave guidance on areas for improvement.
Mock interviews are intended to empower students and make them feel confident in going forward and making real applications for jobs or Higher Education.
Paul Edenbrow, Head of Sixth Form at Hampton College, said: “It was an incredibly valuable exercise for the students and has really got them thinking about the way in which they present themselves and their future career plans.”
