Future Aspirations Day

Future Aspirations Day

St Clement’s High School in King’s Lynn organised a motivational speaker in the morning, followed by talks from the University of East Anglia and the College of West Anglia about the range of qualifications on offer.

The Skills Service then took over the event later in the morning to run a career ‘speed dating’ event involving representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Steadfast Training, Norfolk Training Services, Prince’s Trust, HSBC and Anglian Water.

116 Year 11 students took part in groups, each spending 25 minutes with each organisation for presentations and a Q&A session to help them make decisions about their futures.

Chris Wood from the school, said: “I thought the day went well and has given me a good base to hopefully get the students motivated for the next part of their education/training/working lives.”
