Year 8 students at Ken Stimpson Community School in Peterborough took part in our paper ducks enterprise challenge, making and selling origami ducks in their business teams.
The challenge helps to develop vital employability skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Representatives from XL Displays played the vital roles of buyers and managing the bank, testing students on their negotiation skills and ability to manage finances.
Lisa Hall of XL Displays said: “It was great for us as a local business to be able to support The Skills Service and work alongside the students and teachers at the school. We were encouraged to see such a positive and enthusiastic group of young people that will be Peterborough’s next generation of business entrepreneurs.”
