Following a morning of careers profiling at The Peterborough School, we delivered a CV writing workshop to help young people prepare for future employment and further education applications. Year 12 students took part in one-to-one sessions with employers and HR professionals from the local area including 3aaa, Caterpillar, Institute of Export and YMCA.
The students had prepared draft CVs and were able to take advantage of the individual advice and guidance to enhance their CVs.
Maureen O’Mara from the Institute of Export commented: “This was a valuable opportunity for employers to meet with students and for us to share our expectations of prospective employees. It also provided the students with an insight into areas of work they might not have considered.”
Victoria Logie from 3aaa Peterborough said: “It was a great opportunity for young people to understand the importance of a well constructed and presented CV.”
