Careers Fair

Arthur Mellows Village College hosted a very busy careers fair for both students (Year 9-13) and their parents with exhibitors from local employers,  higher education and apprenticeships in attendance to offer advice, knowledge and guidance on future paths for the students.

There were stands from various industries ranging from engineering, manufacturing, sport, health, armed forces, universities and many more where the students and parents were able to engage and learn more about particular areas. Perkins Caterpillar also held an apprenticeship talk which was very well attended and prompted a flurry of positive questions from parents who were amazed to find out the benefits of apprenticeships.

One parent who attended with her daughter from Year 10 told us that she had learnt so much and that the fair was a fountain of extremely beneficial knowledge and that she would be coming back next year with her younger children.
