Around 300 young people and their parents from various parts of West Norfolk attended this Apprenticeships exhibition at Downham Market Academy. The event put apprenticeships in the spotlight, highlighting the extent of opportunities on offer for school leavers.
Exhibitors included British Sugar, BAE Systems, Poultec, JTL, NHS, Discovery Centre, CWA, EDGE Apprenticeships, MoCo, CITB, HIT Training, Lunar Training, Anne Clarke Associates and C&M Servicing.
Katherine Potter, Careers Co-Ordinator at Downham Market Academy, said “The students thought it was very informative and the involvement of parents was beneficial. Everyone who I spoke to thought it went well and that it should become an annual event.” Feedback has been positive from all involved and the school has already booked to host a similar event next year!
