16-18 Study programme
An individualised learning programme customised to suit career aspirations this provision enables learners to structure their education to be focused on a career. Learners will aim to improve their GSCE Maths/English results whilst also having the opportunity to access work experience. On completion of the programme we will support learners to source opportunities with their preferred progression into further training or employment.
Traineeships are designed to enable learners to develop first-hand experience of the workplace, whilst upskilling in maths and English and developing their employability skills. A Traineeship will incorporate:
- Essential work preparation training
- English and maths
- Work experience, in a sector that the learner is interested in
On completing the traineeship learners will be offered a guaranteed job interview with their employer with a view to transitioning into a paid role (if they meet criteria). Alternatively, we will conduct an exit interview together with meaningful written feedback to help attendees secure an apprenticeship or employment with another employer.
Apprenticeships offer a work-based training programme whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification. Apprentices will be paid throughout the duration of their learning programme whilst enjoying the support of professionals and a dedicated Tutor who will facilitate the learning programme.
