St Peters students benefit from Employers Apprenticeship information

St Peters school, in Huntingdon worked with The Skills Service to run an event for their year 11 and 6th formers to improve their understanding of local Apprenticeship opportunities.

Local employers, Webtec, Wyboston Lakes resort and the Marriot Hotel joined Cambridge Regional College for an event where they shared their Apprenticeship offer with students. Some 80 students spent time chatting to the businesses about their Apprenticeship programme and getting a better understanding of what it was like to be an Apprentice from Webtec Apprentices.

The Apprenticeship offer from employers has improved over the last few years with students being able to gain a degree whilst on a businesses Apprenticeship scheme. Students find the thought of earning whilst studying of great interest, a theme supported by students attending the Apprenticeship session at St Peters last week.

Our thanks go out to our employers for supporting this event.
