OUR HISTORY

Peterborough Skills Service (PSS) was launched in 2011 by Opportunity Peterborough as part of its wider Skills Vision for the City.

 

The Vision set out to help new talent prosper, giving voice to the City’s businesses, education providers and funders of education to find out what shape they want the City’s skills agenda to take.

 

A concern voiced regularly by business through Opportunity Peterborough’s annual skills survey is the work-readiness of young people coming out of education at all levels and the appropriateness of their skill sets.

Sarah Anstiss

Skills Lead

Part Time

Mon - Weds 9am - 5pm

Sarah heads up The Skills Service team, implementing strategies and setting priorities that address the skills agenda in the region. This includes managing the various contracts that The Skills Service operates under and tendering for new opportunities

Jacqui Farrell

Project, Curriculum and Delivery Manager

Full Time

Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

Jacqui works with business and education providers to design and deliver careers and curriculum activities in the East of England and virtually across the UK. Developing the knowledge, aspirations and employability skills of young people

Rebecca Sussex

Project, Curriculum and Delivery Manager

Part Time

Mon - Weds 9am - 5pm

Rebecca works with business and education providers to design and deliver careers and curriculum activities in Fenland and East Cambridgeshire, the wider area of the East of England and virtually across the UK. Developing the knowledge, aspirations and employability skills of young people

Dan Todd

Digital, Events & Skills Delivery Coordinator

Full Time

Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm

Dan manages the day to day administration for the team, also assisting with the preparation and delivery of Skills Service events. As part of his role, Dan also manages reporting against targets and contracts, keeps our contact database up-to-date and has recently taken on the role of managing our marketing and social media profiles.
